But if not, now’s a great time to get caught up – starting with a refresher from last year with our friend Chelsea Viau, owner of the full-service interior design showroom and lifestyle boutique, Chelsea Lane & Co.

Specializing in fabrics and wall coverings (over 75 brands, to be exact) Chelsea and her team offer end-to-end interior design, with the ability to design an entire home from scratch.

Like so many of our beloved local business owners, Chelsea is hands-on at every touchpoint and is always looking for ways to partner with clients and feed her creativity.

And with over 20 years of industry experience, we’ll vouch for her in saying – she knows her stuff!

Now in her 12th (!) year of business, and more than a year after our last update, we’re checking back in with the female entrepreneur to learn what’s changed – and what’s to come.

TSG: What’s changed in the shop since last we spoke?

CV: We have expanded our library and we are bursting at the seams! We now have tons of carpet samples, many more fabric books, and well as shutters and window treatment samples.

TSG: Share a project highlight from the past year.

CV: We did a full-service /  new construction project that was a blast and we can’t wait to expand on that part of our business.

TSG: Any new trends emerging?

CV: We’re seeing a lot of fringe and vintage textiles and patterns!

TSG: What’s surprised you the most in your business?

CV: We were shocked to see that we didn’t really have a “summer” this year. With so many people making Florida their full time residence we were very busy during our “off season”.

TSG: We love the wallpaper library. What was the best seller in 2022?

CV: La Palma and our classic Martinique are always top sellers here!

TSG: Is the mobile library still in action?

CV: Our mobile library is a huge part of our business and we hope to continue to expand on this. Our clients love when we bring the samples to them and help them with selections in their space. Designers have also been taking advantage of these services as well.

TSG: Anything special on the horizon for 2023?

CV: With the growth of downtown we are being forced to move. But with change comes big growth! We have a BIG expansion and move happening in March of 2023 and we can’t wait to share more details with you! Don’t worry… we aren’t going far!

TSG: With gift-giving season upon us, what are some items we can grab in-store?

CV: We have some amazing candles that make great gifts! My favorite would be our 5 wick – 123 oz (yes you read that correctly)  holiday scented Voluspa candles. (yes you read that correctly) You can’t go wrong bringing this to someone as a gift.

TSG: Any tips/tricks for decorating tastefully in the Fall/Holiday season?

CV: Those massive Voluspa candles are such a classy and fun way to decorate for the holidays. They are poured into these stunning glass vases. Plus they make your home smell amazing.
