Want to cruise the intercoastal for three hours?

Have a private chef cook a romantic meal while you watch the sunset from the bow?

Cruise to the Bahamas for the week?

LuxuryDayCharters.com and Yacht Kingfisher make all of those options readily available to you.

I had the pleasure of spending a sunny Friday afternoon aboard Yacht Kingfisher with owners Dhardra Blake and Eric Dahler, discussing all of the ways they bring a mix of pleasure and philanthropy into the yachting industry.

Boating has been a longstanding facet of life here in South Florida.

But if you don’t own a boat yourself, it’s often more complicated than we’d like.

That’s where Dhardra Blake and Eric Dahler come in.

The duo bring a new perspective to yachting- luxury, but make it approachable.

Not to mention reliable, memorable and fun.

Dhardra and Eric have taken a mutual love for the water and extensive yachting backgrounds and turned it into a fully customizable, accessible yachting experience.

So let’s talk options.

First up is Yacht Kingfisher, a 50 ft vintage Huckins; a boat company many liken to a Rolls Royce or Bentley of the sea.

When you step on board, you’re instantly transported to the carefree glamorous lifestyle of 1950s Palm Beach.
And that’s not by mistake; it’s by design.

The vessel evokes nostalgia for a bygone era which, even if you didn’t actually live it, you somehow still yearn for.

“Our vision was to bring back the classic Palm Beach cocktail cruise experience,” says Eric.

“We want to do it in a way that’s substantive that really celebrates the craftsmanship and artistry of a boat like this.”

Yacht Kingfisher has been preserved in a pristine manner with ample space both above and below deck.

Distinctive day charter experiences include 3 hours, 4 hours (half-day) 8 hours (full-day) and multi-day excursions.

They also offer a membership in 30-60 hour packages, giving customers flexibility and exclusive access to cruising windows.

And good news for all you northern transplants- Yacht Kingfisher will meet you back up north when it’s time to hit the Hamptons this summer! You can find them circa Sag Harbor from June-September.

In addition to serving yachting clients, the pair looks to serve the community with a strong philanthropic angle.

They’ve crowdsourced crews for disaster relief, donated cocktail cruises, and offered onboard events where a portion of the proceeds are donated to a non-profit organization.

Says Eric of giving back; “We have a mission of yachting philanthropy; we want to show that yachting can be a positive force in the world. We don’t do it for the recognition – we do it because it’s the right thing to do.”

If you’re looking for more than a day trip, or simply want to explore other options – LuxuryDayCharters.com has a multitude of options to fit your needs.

But where to begin? Dhardra recommends you start with two things: budget, and where you want to go.

She’ll take it from there.

She founded the business over ten years ago and has since built a fleet of incomparable boats, network of crews, and loyal repeat clientele.

Normal day charters include a captain, stewardess, idle fuel and sodas/water over ice – the rest is up to you.

Prefer a chef to deal with the hassle instead? They can arrange that.

Vessel offerings range from 36 feet to well over 100 feet, providing customers with a sufficient variety to meet their cruising preferences.

Owning a boat can be a pain. Let these two experts take the reins, do the heavy lifting, and schedule an unforgettable day on the water for you and your friends.
